British insurers have over 1 000 complaints about mobile phones that are destroyed in beverages of various kinds - every day. But now a company has decided to find out what all clumsy Brits actually do with their phones.

400 000 mobile phones are reported destroyed after they got into water glasses each year, only in Britain. And this is just one of all the ways you can mess up and destroy your phone Now, the British insurer Super Cover Insurance has investigated how accidents really happen.

30 percent of the accidents appeared to take place the office where mobile phones are often dropped from the breast pockets in to water glasses and coffee cups. But some accidents also involved pure destruction where some people actually drowned their phones after a frustration phone call.

Further 30 percent of the accidents appeared to be caused by children playing with phones, and successfully puting them in liquid.

Other common reasons to why the phones ended soaked were family fights where, for example, a suspected infidelity led to someone's phone ending up in a beverage as revenge. In one year  5000 of these cases occurred to clients of Super Cover Insurance.

Thousands of cases a year happen when people show off their phones in the bar. Over 1 000 cases were related to someone tired of a loud "mobile flasher" who talked loud in a restaurant.

More common than you might think is that a bartender lowers a telephone in to a guest's drink when he is not respecting a mobile phone ban. At least once a day such an incident is reported in Britain.
