Sony
may be ready to release a new Playstation Portable with a built-in
phone, reports Japanese news site Nikkei. But Sony remains silent.
"We are not commenting on our future generations of consoles. This is
pure speculation" says a spokesperson for Sony to news agency AFP.
Sony this week celebrates 30 years since the company's first portable music player was launched. The Walkman concept became a classic and spread to virtually all electronics manufacturers. Today known as both the company's music player, and the music phones manufactured by Sony Ericsson of the Walkman.
According to Nikkei News Sony Ericsson can now be involved in the developement of the PSP phone.
