A Swedish inventor has found a solution to boat owners' toilet woes.Septic tanks are a constant source of anxiety for boat owners, says Anders Meiton, who has just been nominated for a 2008 Swedish Embedded Award.Meiton's company, FM Marin AB, has created a device that measures the content of the tanks from the outside."There are very few boat owners who can keep track of the level in the tank, so they empty it constantly out of fear that the contents of the tank will spill into the boat," says Meiton. The Gobius resonance device has so far been exported to eleven different countries."I got the idea when I was about to give a speech and called for attention by tapping a knife against the glass. I started to think about how the water level in the glass affected the vibrations," saysMeiton.
