Sweden will be well represented when the Game Developers Conference opens its doors in San Francisco next week.Among the companies winging their way to the west coast is Gothenburg-based flash game development company Muskedunder, which recently bought up Free Lunch Design, a one-man operation founded by Johan Peitz."The most important thing for us is to show our faces," said Peitz.Icy Tower, a game developed by Free Lunch Design, has spent the last 100 weeks on download.com''s top ten list for PC games. The company is currently working on developing new versions for mobile phones and web browsers."We are seeing two trends in the game industry at the moment. There''s rising interest in ''social gaming'', as well an explosion in the development of online games," said Magnus Alm, CEO of Muskedunder.
