A truck plowed into the department store Åhléns in central Stockholm on Friday at 02:53 PM. At least four people have been killed, according to police reports.

All traffic in and out of the city has been halted, and police are urging people to stay at home.

The truck had been stolen from Spendrups brewery, according to Säpo, the Swedish Security Service.

”Someone jumped into the driver’s cabin and drove off with the car while the driver unloaded”, according to Spendrups communications director Mårten Lyth, reports TT.

During a press conference, Swedens prime minister Stefan Löfven, said that the incident was an attack on Sweden.

– Everything we know points to a terror attack, according to Löfven.

Images on social media show people running along the street after the crash. Rumors about shootings and other attacks in other parts of Stockholms have been discussed on social media. But none of these other rumored attacks are yet confirmed.
